Profexpert – The Construction Company

Metal structure welding: MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA

Profexpert metal structures plant offers MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA welding services.

First, we will tell you about the MIG/MAG process. It is a semi-automatic welding process that takes places in a metal inert gas (MIG) or metal active gas (MAG) filled chamber. The process is performed by use of metallic filler wire that melts and forms a durable seam. Today this is the most widely used industrial welding method. It allows to weld stainless steel, standard steel, and aluminium. The advantage of this welding method is the high-performance rate, lack of harmful emissions, smoke, slag, etc.

TIG method is used for welding thin parts. It is also known as argon arc welding, and it is a manual welding method, which provides exceptional durability. This method is slower, but there are situations when such welding of metal structures is the most appropriate.

MMA is a manual arc welding method, which is one of the simplest and most ingenuous methods that can be used in any conditions.

Description of metal structures welding processes

AISI stainless steels consist of three classes: austenitic, ferritic, martensitic steel, each of which requires different welding methods. We choose the most appropriate welding method for each class while considering the thickness of the particular structure: manual arc, TIG or semi-automatic MIG/MAG welding.

Expert employees of Profexpert know precise use of all metal structure welding processes, and for each separate case, they choose the safest method. Our customers receive following benefits:

  • rapid results for all types of works;
  • if necessary, welding methods can be combined;
  • undisputed durability;
  • warranty for the fact that all works were performed in adherence to all applicable safety requirements.
